Timea Tihanyi
Interiorizing
November 6 - December 20, 2025
Opening Reception: “First Thursday,” November 6, 6-8pm
Artist talk: “Saturday After,” November 8 at noon
In Timea Tihanyi’s second exhibition with the gallery, the artist expands on her previous use of 3D-printing with porcelain. Translating forms generated in her interactive VR environment into colorful, tactile plastic sculptures, Tihanyi weaves a complex narrative of rituals. Reminiscent of flower buds, these works transform immaterial experiences into something that can be held and felt.
Opening night performance: November 6 at 6pm

For Interiorizing, Timea Tihanyi pushes the boundaries of color and shimmer with her polylactic bioplastic Stupad series. Each precious object, first created in a VR world, was painstakingly made by hand-feeding gossamer sized threads of color into a 3D printer. The resulting pieces surprise with their unexpected changing colors, and delight in their scale.
And when we say the colors are unexpected, we mean it! Not just the colors, but how they change as you turn the piece. It’s surprising, a little confusing, and quite frankly, magic. See for yourself in these videos…
